June 23, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Paid Content is reporting that Myspace is cutting 2/3’s of its international staff.

It wants to run international operations from three major hubs – London, Berlin and Sydney.

What does this mean for myspace in AU, which employs around 50 people in Sydney and Melbourne? There’s no news around local cuts as yet.

Locally myspace is under user pressure from Facebook, but commercially is still active in market and more visible and a deeper product from my perspective than Facebook currently is.

Jonathon Miller and Owen Van Natta have made some significant resource changes at Myspace since they joined only a few months ago including signifcant redundancies.
