I wrote last Friday about local company USocial selling Twitter followers. It’s run by a fella called Leon Hill.
Anyway, Leon is an interesting guy … and to be honest, I am surprised I haven’t stumbled upon him before.
– His company has gotten some US press attention for openly gaming social sites like Digg, Stumble Upon and Yahoo! Buzz and selling enhanced visbility. He even received a cease and desist from Digg and has admitted to breaching Diggs T&C’s but shows no signs of stopping. (http://leonbhill.com/latimes.htm)
– He has tried to sell one of his Kidneys or parts of his Liver on Engadget (http://www.engadget.com/2004/08/16/would-you-sell-your-kidney-s-for-a-hush/comments/3930010/)
– On top of this he has gotten the likes of BBC to cover his no doubt disasterous Twitter experiment (http://www.news.com.au/technology/story/0,28348,25722397-5014239,00.html)
– He’s come out against everyones most hated media douchebag, Kyle Sandilands, and asserted him and equally awesome co-host Jackie O are maybe dubiously adding Twitter followers (http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/story/0,28383,25730127-5013560,00.html)
Who said digital media couldn’t be newsworthy.
