Advertising Account Manager – Sound Alliance (2 positions)

Sound Alliance is the parent company of category leading online communities, inthemix, FasterLouder, Same Same and Mess + Noise. With nine years experience in online publishing our well established consumer facing brands each boast growing traffic, influence and potential. We have a strong focus on innovation and progressive thinking with a flat structure that allows for a broad involvement and input in all areas of our business.

Our web communities primarily target 18-30 year olds with a focus on music and culture which gives us a unique and attractive advertising property in the Australian marketplace. Sound Alliance has a combined – and growing – audience of over 700,000 unique browsers per month. We offer our advertisers and sponsors targeted opportunities for cross media campaigns across our websites, events, mobile and branded content with a focus on innovation and media firsts and work with Australia’s leading advertisers, event companies, festivals and record labels to create market leading destinations and campaigns.

You will have at least 2-4 years of experience in online media sales with a good understanding of the fast-evolving online media environment. You will have extensive, high level contacts within advertising agencies, media buyers and direct clients. You will be a creative thinker with entrepreneurial flair and demonstrated experience in writing proposals, presentations and negotiation. You will thrive on challenging the norm, breaking new ground and offering your clients truly unique solutions. You’re a problem solver not an order taker.

You’re kicking serious goals in your current role and wondering why the hell you’d make a change. This is why… This newly created role offers the rare opportunity of working alongside our Sales team on key existing agency relationships and the wider team on generating real solutions for our clients. The rewards include uncapped commission and an amazing product to sell; the Sound Alliance network of sites continues to experience unprecedented growth in terms of traffic, revenue and product.

In 2009 we featured in the BRW Great Places to Work in Australia list. We’re a dynamic, hard-working team based in Surry Hills, Sydney. If you think you fit the bill, or know someone who does, send an application to jobs@thesoundalliance.net by 9 April, 2010.
